About Nikki Davenport
Nikki Davenport is a contemporary romance and romantic suspense author and the creator of the Crown & Heart/Destination: Lytua series—where Wakanda meets Bridgerton in a lush, all-Black world of royal romance and unapologetic joy. Her stories reimagine royalty through high-stakes emotion, deep friendships, and characters who fight for love and legacy.
She is also the founder of Granite Clover Publishing, LLC, where she provides culturally responsive manuscript support for fiction and nonfiction writers through its Author Services division.
Her debut novel, International Incident, became an Amazon bestseller, ranking in the Top 15 of Romantic Suspense and Top 55 of Contemporary Romance—two of the most competitive categories on the platform—and was selected as a 2023 finalist for the Audio in Color Award.
The second book in the Crown & Heart series went on to hit #1 in Black & African American Women’s Fiction, launching a richly imagined royal universe readers can’t wait to return to.
A lifelong lover of love stories, Nikki holds a BA in History and a Master’s in Social Work. She works in education by day, paddles with a dragon boat racing team of fellow breast cancer survivors in her off time, and belongs to a fabulous book club. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, a snarky teen, and a pair of spoiled feline overlords, and is rarely without an audiobook or podcast.
